Booking terms

Last updated 8 January 2026. These terms apply to every class, party and camp booked with Fizzwick Sugar Workshop Ltd.

1. Who we are

Classes are run by Fizzwick Sugar Workshop Ltd, a company registered in Ireland, trading as FIZZWICK.

2. Holding a place

A place is held when the fee is paid. A booking request holds it for 48 hours only, after which it goes back on the timetable. We hold twelve places per class and do not exceed that for any reason.

3. Moving and cancelling a class

One free move with more than 48 hours' notice. Inside 48 hours the fee is not refundable, because the place cannot be refilled and the ingredients are bought. Blocks can be moved as a whole, not session by session.

4. Parties

A €60 deposit confirms a party, refundable up to seven days before. The balance is due on the day, based on the number of children who actually attend, with the stated minimum of eight applying either way.

5. Camps

Full refund up to fourteen days before, half within fourteen days, none once the camp has started. Where a child is ill we will offer a place on a later camp if one exists.

6. If we cancel

Full refund, always, including deposits. We do not issue credit notes instead of refunds and we do not reschedule without asking you first.

7. Allergies and medical information

You must tell us about allergies at booking. There are no nuts in the building. For other allergens we will substitute where we can with notice; where we cannot, we will say so and refund rather than take a risk with a full bench.

8. Behaviour and supervision

This is a room with heat and hot sugar in it. A child who cannot follow instructions on the bench will be asked to sit out that step, and in rare cases we will ring you. Children under eight must be collected by a named adult; we will not release a child to anybody not on the booking.

9. Belongings and what goes home

Everything made in a class belongs to the child who made it. We are not responsible for belongings left in the workshop, though almost everything turns up in the box by the door.

10. Photography

Parents may photograph their own children. Please do not photograph other people's. We do not photograph children at all.

11. Liability

We carry public liability insurance. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland.
